Finding Your Stuff

Head to the Search tab and type a name, tag, category, or container. Every result shows exactly which space and container the item lives in — finding something is as fast as remembering you own it.

Search by meaning, not exact words. Type 'warm jacket for skiing' or 'that fancy kitchen gadget' and AI Smart Search matches items by what they are, even if you named them something completely different. It's a SnapFind Pro feature — ✨ Smart matches appear automatically under your regular results whenever you search.

Yes — and there's nothing to set up anymore. Just say 'Hey Siri, where's my passport in SnapFind?' and Siri tells you the space and container out loud, even when the app is closed. Your inventory stays private — Siri only answers after Face ID or your passcode. For full results instead, say 'Hey Siri, ask SnapFind' and tell it what you need: the app opens straight to your search. (iPhone only.)

Tags cut across containers and categories. The AI adds tags automatically, and you can add your own like 'fragile', 'holiday', or 'sentimental'. Tag decorations across five different bins with 'Christmas' and pull them all up with a single search.

No — there's just one search box now. Fast keyword matches appear instantly for everyone, and Pro members see a ✨ Smart matches section stream in automatically below them. On the free plan, when keywords come up empty you'll see a preview of what Smart Search found.

Yes — every space now has its own search box at the top of its screen. It matches the containers in that space and the items inside them, and shows which container each match lives in. If what you need isn't there, tap 'Search all of SnapFind' under the results to repeat the search everywhere.

Yes — on iPhone, your items show up in the system-wide search. Swipe down on the Home Screen, type an item's name, and matching SnapFind items appear; tap one to jump straight to it in the app. The catalog powering this lives on your device and stays up to date automatically.

It's part of Search now. Open the Search tab without typing anything and your whole inventory is there, filtering live as you type. Use the button next to the category filter to switch between a photo grid and a detailed list — SnapFind remembers your choice — and pick a category or a sort order from the same row.
