Terms and Conditions

Last updated: August 31, 2026

SnapFind is a home inventory app. You photograph your belongings, AI names and categorizes them, and you get a searchable record of what you own and where it is. These Terms are the agreement between you and us about how that works — what you can expect from SnapFind, what we expect from you, and what happens when something goes wrong.

SnapFind is operated by MEGAROOSTER, LLC, 90 State St Ste 700, Albany, New York 12207-1707, United States ("SnapFind", "we", "us", "our"). These Terms cover the SnapFind mobile app, the SnapFind App Clip, www.snapfind.app including the web dashboard, and the QR label packs we sell (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

The short version

  • Your photos and your inventory stay yours. You give us only the permission we need to store, process, and show them back to you.
  • AI-generated names, categories, values, listings, and insurance reports are estimates — not appraisals, not professional advice. Check them before you rely on them.
  • Subscriptions are billed by Apple or Google and renew automatically until you cancel in your store account. Cancel any time.
  • Printable QR packs are digital goods. Once the download is delivered, the sale is final.
  • If you share a space, the owner controls who gets in and can remove anyone at any time.
  • The Service is provided "as is", and our liability is limited as described below.
  • This summary is here for readability. The sections that follow are what actually binds us.

Eligibility and Your Account

  • Age. You must be at least 18 to enter into these Terms. If you are between 13 and 18, you may use SnapFind only with the involvement of a parent or guardian who agrees to these Terms on your behalf. SnapFind is not for children under 13.
  • Accurate information. Keep your email address current so we can reach you about your account, your purchases, and security matters.
  • Your credentials are yours to protect. You are responsible for activity under your account. Tell us promptly at info@snapfind.app if you believe it has been compromised.
  • One account per person. Do not share a login to give several people access to a paid plan — invite them to a shared space instead.
  • Trying before signing up. You can use parts of SnapFind, including the App Clip demo, without an account. That trial data is tied to an anonymous session and becomes part of your account if you create one.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use SnapFind for anything illegal, or to catalog, conceal, or trade stolen or contraband goods.
  • Upload photos of other people without their permission, or content that is unlawful, infringing, harassing, hateful, or sexually explicit.
  • Attempt to access another user's account, inventory, or shared space, or to bypass our security rules, plan limits, or usage quotas.
  • Scrape, spider, resell, or systematically extract the Service or its content, or use it to build a competing product.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or interfere with the app, our servers, or our AI endpoints, including by automating requests or generating artificial load.
  • Misrepresent AI-generated valuations or reports as independent appraisals to an insurer, a court, a buyer, or anyone else.

We may suspend or remove content or accounts that violate this section. Where it is practical and lawful to do so, we will tell you why.

Your Content and Who Owns It

  • You own your content. The photos you take, the item details you write, your spaces and containers, your notes and custom fields — all of it stays yours. We claim no ownership.
  • The permission you give us. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, copy, transmit, resize, index, and display your content, and to process it through the AI and search providers described in our Privacy Policy. That license exists only to operate the Service for you, extends to anyone you share a space with, and ends when you delete the content or your account.
  • We do not train AI on your content, and our AI providers process it on our behalf without training on it. We do not sell your content or license it to advertisers.
  • You are responsible for what you upload. You represent that you have the rights to your content and that it does not violate the law or anyone else’s rights.
  • Feedback. If you send us feature requests, reviews, or suggestions, we may use them to improve SnapFind without obligation or compensation to you.
  • Keep your own copies. SnapFind is not a backup service. Settings → Export Data produces a CSV of your inventory, and we encourage you to export anything you would hate to lose.

AI Features, Estimates, and Reports

AI is how SnapFind turns a photo into an inventory entry. It is also, by nature, probabilistic — it gets things wrong, and you should treat what it produces as a starting point you review, not a finding you rely on.

  • Generated fields are suggestions. Item names, descriptions, categories, brands, model numbers, quantities, container sizes, and fullness estimates are produced by AI and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or plainly wrong. You can edit any of them, and Settings → AI & Automation lets you turn individual AI-filled fields off.
  • Estimated values are not appraisals. Any value, price, or worth SnapFind suggests is an automated estimate based on a photo and a description. It is not an appraisal, a valuation, a market quotation, or professional financial, tax, insurance, or legal advice. It is not prepared by a licensed appraiser and no one has inspected your item.
  • Insurance reports are your record, not a claim document. The insurance report feature compiles what you entered and what AI estimated into a document you can hand to your insurer. It is not an appraisal, does not establish coverage or replacement cost, and does not commit any insurer to anything. Your insurer decides what it accepts. Verify item details and values with a qualified professional before relying on a report for a claim, a policy, or a tax position.
  • Sale listings. Generated titles, descriptions, prices, and condition notes are drafts. You are the seller: you are responsible for the accuracy of anything you post, for the terms of the marketplace you post it to, and for complying with the law where you sell.
  • Product and barcode lookups return data from third-party databases that we do not control and cannot warrant.
  • Availability and limits. AI features depend on third-party providers and may be changed, rate-limited, degraded, or discontinued. Plans include AI scan allowances, and we may apply reasonable limits to prevent abuse or runaway cost.

Plans, Subscriptions, and Billing

  • Free. SnapFind is free to use with a limited allowance of AI scans and a cap on the number of items you can store. Current allowances are shown in the app and may change; we will not reduce an allowance you have already paid for.
  • Pro and Teams. Paid plans remove those limits and unlock additional features, including collaboration seats on Teams. What each plan includes is described in the app at the point of purchase and controls over any summary here.
  • Auto-renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period at the then-current price, and your store account is charged within 24 hours before the period ends, until you cancel.
  • Cancelling. Cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends, in your Apple ID subscription settings or Google Play subscription settings. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. When you cancel, you keep paid access through the end of the period you already paid for.
  • Free trials and introductory offers, where offered, convert to a paid subscription automatically unless you cancel before the trial ends. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you buy a subscription.
  • Who bills you. In-app purchases are sold and billed by Apple or Google under their terms. We use RevenueCat to manage entitlements and Superwall to present offers. We never receive your card number.
  • Price and plan changes. We may change prices or restructure plans. Changes apply to renewals only, and we will give notice through the app, by email, or through the store as the platform requires. Continuing after a change takes effect is your acceptance of it.
  • Promotional and comped access — including any access granted through a promotion, a support gesture, or bundled with a product — is a courtesy, is not a purchased subscription, and may be time-limited or withdrawn.
  • If a payment fails or an entitlement is revoked by the store, paid features stop and your account reverts to Free. Your inventory is not deleted, but content beyond Free limits may become read-only until you are under the limit or you resubscribe.

QR Label Packs

  • Printable packs are digital goods. The printable pack is a print-ready PDF of 48 unique, pre-activated QR codes, sold on our website for $4.99 per pack and processed by Stripe. Your download link is delivered immediately after payment and also emailed to you.
  • All sales of delivered digital goods are final. Because the file is delivered instantly and cannot be returned, we do not offer refunds once the download has been made available. If your download link does not work, email us and we will fix it. Where consumer law gives you a statutory right of withdrawal, that right still applies — by starting the download you ask us to begin performance immediately and acknowledge that this ends the withdrawal right for the delivered file.
  • What you may do with it. You get a personal, non-exclusive license to print and reprint your pack as many times as you like for your own household or business use. You may not resell, redistribute, sublicense, or publish the file or the codes in it.
  • How codes behave. A code links to whichever container the first person to scan and claim it assigns, in that person’s account. Codes are unique within a pack, but a code prefix does not identify a person, and printed labels are only as private as where you stick them. A container’s contents are visible on the web only if you explicitly mark that container public.
  • Physical packs and moving kits sold through Amazon are ordered from, fulfilled by, and returnable to Amazon under Amazon’s terms and return policy, not ours.

Refunds

  • In-app subscriptions are handled by Apple or Google. Refunds are at their discretion under their policies, and we cannot issue or reverse them ourselves. Apple: report a problem through your purchase history. Google: request a refund through Google Play.
  • Website purchases of printable QR packs are final once delivered, as described above.
  • Nothing here limits a refund or remedy that consumer law in your country requires.
  • Something went wrong with an order? Email info@snapfind.app and we will help sort it out.

Shared Spaces and Collaboration

  • The owner is in charge. If you own a space, you decide who is invited, what is shared, and when access ends. You can remove a collaborator at any time, which immediately revokes their access.
  • What collaborators can see. People you invite can view and edit the containers, items, photos, and details inside the spaces shared with them — and nothing outside those spaces. Members of a shared space can see each other’s display name and email.
  • Invite links are keys. Anyone holding a valid invite link can join that space until it is revoked or expires. Share links only with people you trust.
  • Collaborator obligations. If you join someone else’s space, you agree to use its contents only for the purpose the owner shared it with you, not to copy or redistribute it, and to stop using it if your access is removed. These Terms apply to you in full while you do.
  • Edits are real edits. A collaborator can change or delete shared content, and the owner is responsible for who they invite. Export anything you would hate to lose before sharing widely.
  • Seats. Collaboration seats are limited by plan. If your plan changes or lapses, sharing beyond the allowance for your plan may stop.

The App Stores

These Terms are between you and us, not with Apple or Google. If you downloaded the app from the Apple App Store, you also agree that: Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for SnapFind; if the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price, and to the maximum extent permitted by law Apple has no other warranty obligation; Apple is not responsible for addressing any claim relating to the app, including product liability, legal or regulatory compliance, or consumer protection claims; Apple is not responsible for investigating or resolving third-party intellectual property claims relating to the app; and Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you. Your use of the app must also comply with the applicable store's terms of service and usage rules.

Third-Party Services and Links

SnapFind relies on third-party providers — hosting, AI, payments, analytics, messaging — and may link to sites we do not operate, such as a marketplace where you list an item. We do not control those services, we are not responsible for their content or practices, and their outages or changes may affect SnapFind. We encourage you to read their terms and privacy policies.

Our Intellectual Property

The SnapFind app, website, designs, code, and the SnapFind name and logo are owned by us and protected by intellectual property law. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service as intended by these Terms. Nothing here transfers ownership of anything to you.

Changes to the Service

We are actively building SnapFind, so features come, change, and occasionally go. We may add, modify, or discontinue features, and we may offer beta or experimental features that are unfinished by definition and provided without any warranty at all. If we discontinue a feature that is material to a plan you pay for, we will give reasonable notice and, where appropriate, a pro-rated remedy.

Termination

You can stop using SnapFind at any time and delete your account from Settings → Delete Account, which triggers deletion of your inventory, photos, and related data as described in our Privacy Policy. Export your data first — deletion cannot be undone.

We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, if we are required to by law, or if continuing would expose us or other users to harm. Except where a breach is serious or repeated, we will try to warn you first. Deleting your account does not cancel a store subscription — cancel that in your Apple or Google account. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — content licenses you granted for content you have not deleted, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, and governing law — survive.

"AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" Disclaimer

The Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" with all faults and defects and without warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we, on our own behalf and on behalf of our affiliates, licensors, and service providers, expressly disclaim all warranties, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including all implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement, and any warranties arising from course of dealing, course of performance, usage, or trade practice.

Without limiting that, we make no representation or warranty that the Service will meet your requirements, achieve any intended result, be compatible with other software or systems, operate uninterrupted or error-free, or that defects will be corrected; that any AI-generated content, value estimate, identification, or report is accurate, complete, current, or fit for insurance, tax, resale, or legal purposes; or that the Service, its servers, or emails sent on our behalf are free of viruses or other harmful components. You remain responsible for verifying anything important before relying on it.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limits on a consumer's statutory rights, so some or all of these exclusions may not apply to you. In that case they apply to the greatest extent enforceable under applicable law.

Limitation of Liability

Notwithstanding any damages you might incur, our entire liability and any of our suppliers' liability under any provision of these Terms, and your exclusive remedy for all of the foregoing, is limited to the amount you actually paid through the Service in the twelve months before the claim, or 100 USD if you have not purchased anything through the Service.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event will we or our suppliers be liable for any special, incidental, indirect, or consequential damages whatsoever — including loss of profits, loss of data or other information, business interruption, personal injury, loss of privacy, losses arising from reliance on an AI-generated value estimate or insurance report, or a denied or underpaid insurance claim — arising out of or in any way related to the use of or inability to use the Service, even if we or any supplier have been advised of the possibility of such damages and even if the remedy fails of its essential purpose.

Some states do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties or the limitation of liability for incidental or consequential damages, which means some of the above may not apply. In those states, each party's liability will be limited to the greatest extent permitted by law.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless MEGAROOSTER, LLC and its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, liabilities, and reasonable legal fees arising out of content you upload or share, your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms or of applicable law, or your violation of anyone else's rights.

Governing Law

The laws of the State of New York, United States, excluding its conflict of law rules, govern these Terms and your use of the Service. Your use of the app may also be subject to other local, state, national, or international laws.

Disputes Resolution

If you have a concern or dispute about the Service, you agree to first try to resolve it informally by contacting us at info@snapfind.app. Most problems are a support ticket, not a lawsuit, and we would rather just fix them.

For European Union (EU) Users

If you are a European Union consumer, you benefit from any mandatory provisions of the law of the country in which you reside, and nothing in these Terms takes away rights you cannot waive under that law.

United States Legal Compliance

You represent and warrant that (i) you are not located in a country subject to a United States government embargo or designated by the United States government as a "terrorist supporting" country, and (ii) you are not listed on any United States government list of prohibited or restricted parties.

Severability and Waiver

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable or invalid, it will be changed and interpreted to accomplish its objectives to the greatest extent possible under applicable law, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

Waiver

Except as provided here, failing to exercise a right or to require performance of an obligation under these Terms does not affect a party's ability to exercise that right or require that performance later, and waiving a breach does not waive any subsequent breach.

Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any plan or product description shown at the point of purchase, are the entire agreement between you and us about the Service and replace any earlier agreement about it. You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

Translation Interpretation

These Terms may have been translated where we make them available to you. In the event of a dispute, the original English text prevails.

Changes to These Terms

We may modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material we will make reasonable efforts to provide at least 30 days' notice before the new terms take effect, through the app or by email, and we will update the "Last updated" date on this page. By continuing to use the Service after revisions take effect, you agree to be bound by them. If you do not agree, stop using the Service and delete your account.
