Stop buying things twice
“I'm at the hardware store. Do I already own a 10mm socket set, and where is it?”
An answer in the aisle, with the bin it is in, before you reach the register.
Finding things is what the app is for. This is for everything after. Let Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, or Claude Code see every item, container, and photo you own, then ask for the insurance schedule, the crew load-out, the duplicate report, the pile worth selling. Read-only. Revoke any time.
Example prompt: I'm at Home Depot. Do I already own a 10mm socket set, and where is it?
Yes, and you have it twice. Put the new one back.
The tool chest one was photographed 3 weeks ago, so it should still be in drawer 2.
What to ask
Every prompt below runs on the tools the connector ships today. Type it as written, or in your own words.
“I'm at the hardware store. Do I already own a 10mm socket set, and where is it?”
An answer in the aisle, with the bin it is in, before you reach the register.
“List everything in the house over $250 with room, container and value, as a spreadsheet.”
A table you can paste into a claim, a renewal form, or a Google Sheet.
“Pull everything in Van 2 for the Riverside install and make a load checklist for the crew.”
A checklist with locations, plus a warning for anything currently checked out.
“Who has had gear out for more than 30 days? Draft a friendly reminder for each.”
Names, items, days out, and a message you can send as is.
“What is wrong with my inventory this week?”
Missing photos, missing values, items stuck in the Drop Zone, names that do not match.
“Find everything over $50 in the storage unit I have not touched in a year and draft eBay titles.”
Ranked by value, with a title and a condition line for each.
“I have 3 hours to unpack. Which boxes should I open first for the kitchen and bathroom?”
The boxes that matter tonight, and what is in each, box by box.
“Is the drill in bin XNF03 the same model as the one in the Tool cage?”
It reads the photo and compares. Same brand, different chuck.
Three steps
01
The connector is a Teams feature for the account owner. Upgrade from Settings in the app; the change is live in seconds.
02
Add a custom connector in Claude, run one command in Claude Code, or drop a JSON block into Cursor. Instructions for each below.
03
Your browser opens SnapFind, you approve once, and the AI gets a read-only token. Disconnect from your Connected apps page whenever you like.

Custom connectors need a paid Claude plan.
https://www.snapfind.app/mcpSign-in happens in your browser through SnapFind. Your AI never sees your password; it gets a read-only token you can revoke from your Connected apps page.
On your phone right now? Email yourself this page and finish on a laptop: send the link.
Read-only, on purpose
The AI gets a scoped, read-only token through OAuth, the same way you would connect a calendar. Nothing it says can change your inventory. Edits, moves, and check-outs stay in the SnapFind app, where they belong.
It can
It cannot
Teams is the plan for people who run their stuff like an operation: shared spaces with seats for the crew, the web dashboard on a big screen, and now an AI that can read the whole inventory. The connector is included, for the account owner, at no extra cost.

Questions
