The camera does the data entry. Every way of adding an item is built so the phone, not you, does the typing.
Take one photo and AI names the item, picks a category, writes a description, adds tags, estimates its value, size and weight, and fills in the structured fields. AI scanning is unlimited on every plan. Free accounts get 30 instant scans; after that, scans join the standard queue and take roughly 15–50 seconds each. Pro and Teams put every scan at the front of the queue.

Point, shoot, shoot, shoot. Each photo uploads and analyzes in the background while you move to the next item, so a whole closet takes minutes instead of an evening. Free for everyone, and there is no meter on the mode itself.
Photograph a shelf, a drawer or a table. SnapFind detects each item, draws a box around it, analyzes every one in parallel, and files them as separate entries with their own photo crop.
Point the camera at a UPC or EAN and SnapFind looks the product up, fills in the name, brand and details, and saves you the typing. Best for packaged goods, electronics and anything still in its box.
Hold the mic and describe what you are adding, or paste a typed list; AI splits it into separate items with categories and tags. Neither is metered.
Point at the sticker on the back of a router, an appliance or a tool. The serial and model number are read on the phone, without an upload, and saved to the item so you can search for them later.
On iOS 17 and later, SnapFind removes the background from item photos on-device. Gallery mode then shows a container’s contents as cutouts on a clean surface.
Add your own fields to any item, and let AI suggest the ones that fit the category: a wine’s vintage, a tool’s voltage, a bike’s frame size. Values are searchable and go out in your exports.
When an item is analyzed, SnapFind checks it against everything you have cataloged and warns you about a likely match, with the container it lives in, so you can move it there instead of owning it twice.
02 · Organize
Spaces, zones and containers mirror the house. QR labels and fullness tracking keep the physical bins honest.
Every AI scan estimates the item’s size and weight, and the container’s own capacity comes from its printed label or a photo of the bin — no measuring on your part. SnapFind keeps the two reconciled, so the fullness ring, the estimated weight and the running value on every container stay current as items come and go, and you know which bin still has room before you walk to the garage. Drag the ring to correct it and SnapFind remembers how that container actually packs, applying the correction to everything you add to it later. Free on every plan; the estimation method is patent pending.
When you create a container, photograph its printed label and SnapFind reads the capacity, or let it estimate the size from a photo of the container. That size is what fullness tracking measures against.
Assign a printed QR code to any container. Scanning it opens the container without leaving the camera, so you never lift a lid to check. Assign, unassign and reassign codes as often as you like; scanning is free on every plan. Use the sticker packs sold on this site, or print your own.
Spaces are rooms or storage areas. Zones are the sub-areas inside a big one: left wall, top shelf, under the stairs. Containers are the bins, boxes and drawers. All three are unlimited, and all three are free.
Group spaces by address. Search and stats can be scoped to one location, and the insurance report can be built for a single one. Free covers one location; Pro and Teams cover up to five.

Every box gets a sticker and a room. The My Move card shows packing progress, rooms packed and the days until the truck comes; on the other end you scan a box to see what is in it before you open it. Keyword results appear instantly for everyone. On Pro and Teams a Smart matches section also answers plain-language questions, so you do not need the exact name of the thing. Free accounts get a preview.

Every field on every item is indexed on the phone. Results appear as you type, with the space and container each item is in, and it works with no signal.
Holding a thing and wondering whether you already have one? Photograph it from the search screen and SnapFind shows the closest matches you own, and where they are.
Ask Siri where something is and it answers with the space and container, without opening the app. Free on every plan, iOS only.
Putting back something that was checked out? Scan it and AI matches it against what is out, names the container it came from, and marks it returned, no list to scroll.
04 · Track & protect
Lending, reminders, running totals, and the report your insurer asks for after the bad day.
Check an item out when it leaves the house, with who has it and an optional due date. The Checked Out tab lists everything that is out, and a push reminds you when something has been gone too long.
Put a date on any item: a warranty end, a filter change, a medication expiry. SnapFind reminds you before it passes, and the reminders page shows what is coming up.
Every AI scan carries an estimated value you can edit. Inventory Stats adds it all up: total estimated value, items per space and per category, top tags, what is checked out, and your highest-value items.
Export a PDF of everything you own: photo, name, value, where it lives, with category totals and high-value items highlighted. Group it by category, by space, or as one flat list, and build it for a single location. Free accounts can open a sample preview.

Export is free and always has been. Nothing in SnapFind is held behind a subscription.
Export every item, container and space, with photos linked, as CSV or JSON. It is free, always has been, and works whether or not you ever pay us anything.
Already have a list in a spreadsheet? Import it as CSV and SnapFind creates the items, with their containers and spaces, so you are not starting from zero.
Sign in on as many phones and tablets as you own and everything syncs in real time. With no signal, the app keeps working and catches up when you are back online.
