What does checking out an item do?
Checking out marks an item as temporarily away from its container — lent to a friend, packed for a trip, or in use around the house. It lands in the Checked Out tab so nothing gets forgotten, and returning it puts it right back where it belongs.
Can I get reminded to return things?
Yes — Settings > Checked Out Reminders lets you turn on push notifications and choose how often you're reminded about items that are still out.
Can I check out part of a quantity?
Yes. If you own 8 folding chairs and lend out 2, check out just those 2 — SnapFind tracks how many are out and how many are home, and supports partial returns.
I don't need this feature. Can I hide it?
Sure — the checked out feature can be disabled in Settings if you'd rather keep things simple.
