Containers & QR Codes

Two ways: scan a new code from the Scan tab and SnapFind will create a container with that code already attached, or open an existing container and tap the Assign QR Code button at the top.

If the code is assigned to a container, the container opens instantly — no tapping through spaces. If it's a fresh, unassigned code, SnapFind offers to create a new container for it. It's the fastest way to answer 'what's in this box?'

Open the container and tap the QR code label at the top — you'll find the Unassign QR Code button underneath. If a sticker gets damaged, just unassign it and assign a new one; your items and container are never affected.

Settings > Buy QR Codes gives you two options: durable pre-printed sticker sets shipped from Amazon, or digital QR code packs you can download instantly and print at home. Any unassigned SnapFind code works with any container.

A public container can be viewed by anyone who scans its QR code with their phone camera — no app or account needed. It's read-only for viewers and only you can edit it. Great for letting family check what's in a box without opening it. To enable it, edit the container and toggle on the public switch (visible once the container has a QR code).

Long-press the container and choose its new space. The container and everything in it move together.

Open the container, tap the edit button in the top-right, then tap the container's photo to add or replace it.

Every SnapFind QR code is unique. Each code has a letter prefix followed by its number, and no two codes are ever the same — whether they're numbered 1–48 or 49–96. You can mix codes from different packs freely without them ever clashing.
